We didnt draw anything! Well, one thing, but it's about how much Dane Cook sucks balls (in the bad way).

A lot of stuff has happened in the last few days!

I've been spending a lot of time with old friends, which naturally leads to the creation of a lot of great comic ideas. Spending an afternoon with old friends is more or less a surefire way to fill a couple pages in my idea book.

I did come down with the illest illness a few days ago, which kind of put comics on hold. It was 4 am, and I woke up and tried to swear (as I usually do when I wake up in pain), but my throat hurt too much! Which caused me to try to swear, which failed again, which caused me to... I think you see where this is going:

Recursive cursing.

Anywayz, I'm better now, and we're not much off of website schedule, for a Q1 2009 launch.

p.s. A friend and I nearly came to blows over how much I hate Dane Cook, and how much she adores him. In the end, I was being kind of a prick (channeling Dane Cook?), but years of friendship won out. But deep inside, everyone knows he's not 1/10th as funny as Demetri Martin.

Personal things... and Uwe Boll should be harmed

I had a CT scan today. I've had headaches for years now... unexplained headaches. So far so good though, the technician thought it looked normal, but I dont get the radiologists' report till tomorrow.

I've also been trying to grow bean sprouts... without following what the hippies say online. I believe them and all, but I just have an aversion to hippie techniques. Not that I dont like them. Ahem. Anywayz, it's going OK, the BeanSprouts 2.0 (bs2.0) project is going a lot better than 1.0-1.3. We shall see soon.

In any case, I shall for now, continue to blame my headaches, bean sprout problems, and aversion to hippies on Uwe Boll. I'm not sure I want to go into how it's all connected, but I'm sure you can think it through.

And besides, in any case, Uwe Boll is just awful. I keep trying to make a comic about him, but it always end with ninjas kicking him in the balls. Or something about Uwe Balls. Gosh he's awful at life.

Creative differences

Brian and I differ in opinion on more than the colour scheme. We tend to come up with ideas together, and often flesh them out together, but we sometimes have very different "visions" for how a strip will turn out.

As a result, we're going to do something we havent seen too often (or ever) online... concurrently running, but different comics. It'll be the same scenario, just our different takes. We're also hoping to eventually have online voting for "Faceoff! Comics" where, Brian and I will be working separately, and see what each of us comes up with.

We're rather excited about the concept, actually.

Though you probably shouldnt be. The reason we make a fairly-ok team is, admittedly, fully 35% of my jokes arent funny; and Brian is somewhat.. well... different. Together we come up with much better stuff. Maybe we'll make a comic about it ;)

An update... maybe

Is it fair to say this is an update? Seeing as it's the first post on a new blog, it's semi-controversial for me.

I decided to start writing here because hosting the blog at bscomics.com was beginning to be a kind of a pain in the butt. Admittedly, this is mostly due to my lack of programming finesse. Perhaps someday, when I have more time to devote to the website I'll find motivation to work on that.

Anyway, we purchased the domain for the new website, and set up a teaser/placeholder page. And then switched hosts, a couple of times (we're now at 110mb.com , and it seems to be pretty cool so far). It turns out DNS propagation takes... a while. For those of us who thought things happened on the internet immediately, or at least quickly, it was a shock.

Brian doesnt really like my choice of colour schemes, so we're going to be doing a major overhaul before we launch next year. We want to have quite a few comics on hand before we start really posting, so we never have any time where we dont have a comic because we were too busy.

Thanks again for all the support so far!
